Optimal standardization control of mid-infrared spectrometers

The measurement of urea in milk is an important indicator for herd management, particularly for the definition of its feeding strategy. Nowadays, medium infrared spectroscopy is proving to be the most suitable technology for carrying out the physico-chemical analysis of milk at a very high rate. However, this method requires the use of reference samples in order to guarantee optimum calibration of the equipment.

To ensure optimum standardisation of the DairySpec FT and FTS, we have developed a range of medium infrared urea calibrators.

Samples description

Our mid-infrared urea calibration ranges are based on a series of 30 cow milk samples of 40 mL with contents typically ranging from 1 to 50 mg/dL.

The ranges are stored cold positive and contain a stabilizer for optimal sample preservation.
